What’s Going on in the Mexico City Startup Community

Ciudad Móvil DF

When: October 19-21 @ 18:00 hrs

Where: Palacio de Minería, Mexico City.

Cost: Free

During 48 hours, 150 developers will be together in Palacio de Minería. They will receive information packages from several institutions in the Mexico City federal department, which aims to develop mobile apps that are useful for the people.

 

Co-FOUNDer Dinner

When: October 22 @ 19:00hrs

Where: IkiBox. San Luís Potosí 45a, Col. Roma,

Cost: 150 – 200 pesos.

 

A meeting to recognize founders and find the right person for your startup. Also, there is a dinner for the attendees and some presentations from experienced entrepreneurs.

Hello, Scottish Startups!This is my first StartupDigest for Scotland having taken over from Chris McCann. Like my predecessor, I hope to use the Digest to not only highlight upcoming events but to also  share with you some of the great strides startups in Scotland are making.

This week I’d like to bring FlockEdu to your attention, an innovative crowdsourced startup  in the education space. Founder and CEO Morna Simpson, crowdsourced the talent to build and launch the FlockEdu service during 3 “sweatshop” weekends over the summer.  As part of the rollout of FlockEdu, Morna has organised events in Glasgow (detailed  below), Edinburgh and Aberdeen to share her experiences of building FlockEdu in such a  unique way and to introduce people to the service.

I would also like to thank everyone for their help informing me of upcoming events. The StartupDigest is an excellent service for Scotland, and with your help, it will only get better.
