Good Morning, Taipei Startups!

Big congratulations to Richi and Gulu for representing Taiwan at last week’s TechCrunch Disrupt Beijing. There’s a pretty neat rundown of the whole experience on Gulu’s blog here (for those that read Chinese). For everyone else, there’s TechOrange’s superb coverage here or, of course, TechCrunchitself. Enjoy! Also, if you didn’t know – Google Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt is in Taiwan this week, to talk about “Incredible Exploration.” For those that didn’t get a ticket (they went pretty fast), there’ll be video and audio added to the website later on.

For Newcomers: Taipei StartupDigest is an events list, curated by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs, that is laser focused on the needs of startups in Taipei. We aim to bring you the best of what the tech community has to offer in Taipei and from time to time, across Taiwan. If it’s worth going to, you’ll find it here!

Please send feedback and event info to jhill@thestartupdigest.com.

My company HealthTap has had an amazing week too, launching our new mobile applications for both patients and physicians, and expanding to the entire realm of medicine with 5,000 physicians in 82 specialties. It feels like the new era of Interactive Health is indeed upon us, and thousands of entrepreneurs, engineers, product people, designers and investors are ready to change the world and help millions live healthier happier lives… I’m stoked!
