This month’s Startup Drinks Montreal will be hosted by Dov Amihod and friends so be sure to check it out. There are 80 people signed up to attend already! For the next MunichJS meetup, we swap our keyboards for bratwursts and have a barbecue at TNG. There won’t be any presentations, which will give us more time to talk and socialize. Should it rain, we’ll go indoors and have a get-together there (no barbecue, though).

Hack A Noon #2 – the hackathon in the afternoon

The hackathon in the afternoon is where people come up with ideas over lunch, implement them in the afternoon and compare their results over beers in the evening. It happens at the Coworking Space Combinat 56 in Schwabing-West.

International Startup Festival was an unqualified success from start to finish. From the location to the speakers, I’m so proud we could hold a world-class event right here at home. Many thanks and congratulations go out to the festival organizers and legion of volunteers. If you’re new to the startup scene, the best way to get familiar really quickly is to get volunteering!

This week, we come down off the high of international guests and speakers and back to the business of building incremental progress with the knowledge bomb that just dropped on us so we’ve got some ruby with Montreal.rb and ARMTL.

For another short week, we’ve got some cool events going on: node. js for javascript enthusiasts and Startup Drinks Montreal al fresco for just about everyone. We’re assembling at Macaroni Bar (St. Laurent/Mt. Royal) for drinks on the patio, which is partly covered in case of a weather incident.

Don’t forget to apply to Founder Fuel, the incubator arm of Real Ventures. They’re looking to fast track the best and brightest by offering funding, a support network of peers and mentors and a network of investors who can go to bat for you when the time comes to go for funding. Hurry! Applications are due by July 1.
