Youth Venture Summit

TechCrunch Tokyo 2011

Where: La Foret Museum Roppongi

TechCrunch Japan will make it. It invites key persons from Japan and the rest of the world, and talks about where tech business are going toward. There will be a demo contest as well, where tech startups show you their future products, followed by a networking opportunity. The organizer wishes techpreneurs, engineer and investors to join it.

 

Mixi Global Connect

When: Wednesday, November 30, 18:00-21:00
Where: Mixi Headquarter, Shibuya

Bullpen Capital, a mobile startup accelerator founded by Eletronic Arts co-founder Richard Melmon, and Netservice Ventures, which intends to bridge Japan and Silicon Valley, are expected to visit Tokyo. With this opportunity, Mixi will hold a party for networking with them. Japanese interpretation assistance available, however mainly they will make speeches and presentations in English.

 

The 6th KBC Business Contest

When: 1pm, Saturday, December 17th, 2011
Where: Kyoseikan (Hiroshi Fujiawa Memorial Hall), Keio University

Events have picked up this week. My pick of the week is Heavy Chefs, but it’s totally booked out already. Seems like a lifetime ago that I spoke at Heavy Chefs to a small crowd in a smoky bar (it was actually about 2 years ago). Now it’s held at trendy offices, with plenty of sponsored snacks and drinks. On Wednesday afternoon, Centro Innovo USACH and the School of Engineers in Chile are going to launch a new entrepreneurs program. And on Thursday, there will be activities based in Valparaiso and Viña del Mar.

Symposium 2011 Workshop

RedLAC Webinar: Good practices on measuring the performance of incubators

This is going to be the first episode of webinars cycle from Latinoamerican Networks of Incubators (RedLAC). Social Media for Small business and buzz for new startups
