Smart Talk: Adventures in Entrepreneurialism — From serial entrepreneur to investor and back again. Kathy Crothall, Ph.D. – President and CEO, Aspire Bariatrics, LLC.

 

The science cafe movement began in Leeds, England in 1998 when a local pub decided to foment a new kind of barroom brawl — scientific debate. The idea took off as a unique way to advance public understanding of science.

 

Do you have questions about fundraising for your company? Are you confused about the content for investor presentations? Are you trying to decide if it’s the right time to seek funding? Are you curious about how investors look at valuation? Would you like to make connections to other C-level executives and local investors?

 

Open House at Storably HQ to celebrate the recent kickoff.

 

This is a weekly open house for Hive 76, where people drop by to work on software or hardware and eat pizza. We also have our weekly scrum (planning) meetings at 7 PM on Wednesday’s, during our open hours.

 

Please join fellow PACT Members, the staff and Board Directors for breakfast to learn more about the many benefits that PACT offers.

 

Startup Weekends are weekend-long, hands-on experiences where entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs can find out if startup ideas are viable. On average, half of Startup Weekend’s attendees have technical backgrounds, the other half have business backgrounds. Beginning with open mic pitches on Friday, attendees build on Saturday and demo Sunday night.
