Dallas PHP – A Conversation about REST

Five minutes, 20 slides. What would you say? At Ignite Dallas, 16 artists, technologists, thinkers, and personalities will take the stage to answer. There are some fun and interestingly named topics, from “Why Healthcare needs to change” to “Busty Naked Girls Oil Wrestling.” You can’t beat that wide range.

DalMob

Come talk mobile. This month’s discussion is on Location Based Privacy for mobile phone end users. An incredible amount of personal information can be determined by a users location, not just where you’ve been but who you are and more. Learn more at DalMob.

Dallas Startup Poker

Startup Poker is the official pre-party for Dallas Startup Weekend, so come meet some potential cofounders! The game is Texas Hold’em.

Dallas Startup Weekend
When: June 17-19
Where: Tech Wildcatters, 2700 Fairmount, Dallas, TX, 75204

Any attendees that want to will have 60-90 seconds to present ideas for new startup ventures. They then crowd source the favorites and form teams around those ideas. Teams are between 4-10 people, and consist of about 50% technical people and 50% non-technical. You then spend the entire weekend getting advice from professional mentors, and building a proof of concept, demo, or sometimes even a finished product, to present in front of a panel of judges on Sunday night.
