Happy Monday! We have had some truly jam-packed and full of awesome tech start-up events this Fall in Houston and I don’t think any of them have me as excited to announce that Steve Blank, a globally recognized leader in the technology start-up community is coming to Houston to talk at the Lean Startup Circle monthly meeting. Steve Blank is a writer, founder/investor in multiple Silicon Valley startups and is currently teaching Entrepreneurship in 3 major universities.Come to the Houston Lean Startup Circle meeting at the Houston Technology Center this Thursday, December 8th at 6:30pm to hear Steve talk about Customer Development and share stories around his experience in the Houston energy industry.

Houston’s Fast Tech 50 Technology Conference and Awards

Android Game Development – Lessons from the Trenches

Allen Halsted, professional game developer, is preparing to release his first game, Hacker Wars, from his own shop, Random Features, Inc. Hacker Wars is a mixture of classic video game memes presented with the latest graphical eye candy on the Android platform. Allen plans to discuss the major differences between a normal application and a game engine. Then using source code from Hacker Wars, he will demonstrate scene construction, the render loop, a finite state machine and basic sprite animation.
