Take a look at some of the scheduled events below to see what what looks good. You may just meet another inspiring startup person or learn something new.

See you out there!

Person You Should Meet
There are a ton of remarkable people in the Indy startup scene. Here’s someone worth getting to know:

Nathan Altman
Nathan is a Partner at DeveloperTown and is the Co-Founder and CEO of uFlavor, a user-generated custom beverage platform that’s launching this week. Follow Nathan here.

For newcomers: StartupDigest is an events list, created by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs, that is focused on the needs of startups in Indianapolis. Please send ideas and feedback to me at mhunckler@thestartupdigest.com.
Indianapolis StartupDigest is curated by:
Matt Hunckler – Founder of Repurify

Indianapolis StartupDigest is supported exclusively by:
How do new businesses get ahead in the “Money Game”? Navigating the growing startup financing landscape is the focus of the latest animated video from the Kauffman Foundation’s sketchbook series. Watch “Money Game,” where Kauffman Senior Fellow Paul Kedrosky breaks down the methods entrepreneurs use to raise capital, and the benefits—and hazards—of each.

Techmakers
When: Tuesday, December 6, 5:30 PM
Where: Sonar Studios, 1060 N. Capitol Ave., Indianapolis

Techmakers is for business folks with a stake in the IT world — either through their own business or the clients they serve. Each month, a cross-section of Indy’s most influential IT professionals gather to decompress, meet new people, learn something new, and share what they know with others. Cost is $10 for members and guests, and $35 for non members (guests may attend up to two meetings, events, or training sessions).

Developers with Side Projects
When: Tuesday, December 6, 9:00 PM
Where: Claddaugh Irish Pub 3835 E 96th St, Indianapolis, IN

This group’s purpose is to share experiences and help each other along the path of being a software developer by day, and working on a side project or business by night. Many of us are unable to attend “regular” meetups due to conflicting schedules, so this meetup exclusively meets after 9PM.

Where: 10475 Crosspoint Blvd

Learn to punch up your web app with Chad Campbell, a 5-time Microsoft MVP and founder of Ecofic. Technological platforms are constantly changing. Verge Winter 2011 Meetup
When: Thursday, December 8, 5:30 PM
Where: DeveloperTown, 5255 Winthrop Ave, Indianapolis

First, sorry for the late digest this week. Let my experience serve as a warning: be careful when you eat giblets to make sure they were cooked at a high enough temperature. Second, I am always looking for good events to cover in the digest and good companies to cover for SPN. If you know of either, please email me.This has been on here for a few weeks, and I don’t plan to take it off anytime soon. There is now a link on this map’s description that allows you to submit your company. Let’s get our region charted out. You can see the map here.
