The first meetup of people who like to discuss the XML Query Language.

 

Let’s hack 32 hours for humanity! Join a worldwide community of technologic Samaritans and participate in practical open-technology solutions to make the world a better place.

In a 3- or 4-person team, you’ll have 24 hours to design a solution to a real world problem that we will give at the start of the Marathon. You will gain access to a selection of open data sets to work on.

Agile Monday (free)

This Agile Monday will revolve around one of the oldest agile methods: eXtreme Programming. Although many of its principles have caught on by now, some still are heavily doubted in their effeciency, like pair programming. This event will hopefully touch on all of that and more.

Mike Cohn defines user stories this way: “A user story describes functionality that will be valuable to either a user or purchaser of a system or software.” User stories are written from the end user’s point of view.”

In agile processes stories are essential in breaking down, scheduling and tracking work. They are a light weight requirements gathering tool that includes a promise for further communication with stakeholders. As such they are a keystone of agile methods.
