The Cincinnati StartupDigest is focused on highlighting the best events and opportunities for start-ups in the area. Our goal is to bring the start-up community in Cincinnati together to connect and inspire. We are just getting started, so please help spread the word to sign up here. Zaarly, the local buyer powered marketplace, is getting ready to launch! Pitched at Startup Weekend LA in February, the team raised a million dollars from investors Ashton Kutcher, Paul Bucheit, Lightbank (original investors in Groupon), and others. They did a 48 hour test run at SXSW and saw tens of thousands of successful transactions on the platform, including a $100 dollar cheeseburger run at midnight! Zaarly is looking for connected and talented individuals to join their Cincinnati Dream Team to help determine how Zaarly can work best in Cincinnati and ultimately change the game with communities and local commerce . It won’t be too time consuming, and it will be a great opportunity to be an ambassador for a hot new startup that could transform the Queen City. GCVA Best of the University Biz Plan Competitions

Come celebrate the spirit of entrepreneurship in Cincinnati while also honoring Bill Cunningham for his 20 years with the GCVA. This is a great networking event for anyone trying to get plugged into the entrepreneurial community. The event is free, but you need to register!

Hive 13 – Weekly Meetup

Cincinnati has a Hackerspace?! Sweet! “Hive 13 aims to create a place where a diverse community of makers can collaborate and pursue creative projects. Hive 13 promotes science & technology education, open source values, and skill sharing amongst its members and community.” If you have a sweet idea for just about anything, come talk to some hackers and make some awesome stuff!

CincyCocoaDev Meetup

This is an interactive, live coding session where you will see an experienced dev build an app from scratch! Learn what it takes to develop an iOS app, see what test-driven development is all about, and hear some stories from other developers!

The Brandery Applications

The Brandery is a Techstars network startup accelerator that is ranked within the top ten in the country. Startups from all over apply and just 5-6 of the most promising start-ups get selected. Be sure to get your applications in ASAP. If your startup is chosen, you will receive $20k, great mentoring and even better networking throughout the 12 week program.
