These are all great people that helped the email industry become what it is today which is recognized, respected and a major player in the marketing industry.

So how do newsletters monetize usually?

Through paid advertising that accompany the newsletter?

I get the no/low cost of distribution, the opt-in methods, and privacy – but still trying to figure out the business model.

Any insights. (Coincidentally, I came upon this thread from StartupDigest).
